MOVE Europe is a small charity working with parents, teachers, therapists and care teams across the UK and Europe to help to give children and adults more opportunities and possibilities for independent movement through the MOVE Programme. In turn this can help to develop their cognitive and communication skills, and it can also improve health and social inclusion.

Movement is the cornerstone to learning – we learn by exploring the world around us. It’s easy to take for granted the basic movements that most of us make every day – giving someone a hug, going to the toilet or even just holding our head up to look out of the window.

For about 110,000 severely disabled children in the UK and a million across Europe and for many more adults, even these basic actions are difficult. That’s not to say they are impossible. Many of these children and adults just need the chance to MOVE.
