Ways to support us

What price would you put on the ability to sit, stand and walk? Or to be able to communicate with your friends?

For most the answer would be "priceless". This is what MOVE offers to the most severely disabled children and adults in the country.

Sponsor a child

Support a child on the MOVE Programme for just 70p a day. Please click here if you would like to set up your support in this unique way.

In return for your sponsorship, you will receive:

  • Our bi-annual newsletter
  • An annual update on how your child is progressing - the goals that they are working towards and the skills they have learnt including the benefits these have brought, not just to the child but to their family, teachers, therapists and carers.

  • Oliver in school
    Through the Sponsor a Child
    Programme Oliver has made
    great progress on MOVE

How much does it cost to sponsor a child on the MOVE Programme?

Sponsorship costs £21 a month, which is around 70p a day - less than the price of a coffee.

In addition, if you pay tax in the UK, please tick the Gift Aid box - this means that for every £1 you give we can claim a further 28p from the Government, at no extra cost to you helping your money go even further! Any extra money received through Gift Aid will be put towards promoting the MOVE Programme

"[Sponsoring a child] is a very personal commitment as you are supporting an individual and can relate to how this makes a genuine difference to their development. You know what their goals are and can visualise the progress being made."
    Milo Carver, child sponsor.

    How long does sponsorship last?

Sponsorship lasts as long as you wish. When you fill in your registration form, you can state the period that you wish your regular monthly donation to last.

Any donation from six months to sixty years will be very gratefully received and help to make a real impact on the life of a severely disabled child and their family.

Can I decide on the gender or age of the child that I sponsor?

In order to remain fair to the children still awaiting sponsorship, we are unable to guarantee any specific requests regarding age or gender of a child. If you do have a specific preference and wish to discuss this, please contact Conchita Garcia.

What happens if I cannot continue as a sponsor?

We understand that circumstances change and that you may not be able to continue your sponsorship. Please do contact us to let us know if this does happen.

We will need to find another sponsor for your child as soon as possible and so would appreciate it if you could contact, move@move-europe.org.uk, 020 7403 6382 if you are planning on ending your sponsorship earlier than expected.
